Admission Requirements for International Applicants

General Admission Requirements

  • Non-Iranian Citizenship: Applicants must not hold citizenship of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  • Valid Passport: A passport with at least one year of remaining validity is required.
  • No Legal Restrictions: Applicants must not be legally barred from pursuing higher education.

Specific Admission Requirements

A. Academic Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree Admission Requirement
  • Valid high school diploma (or equivalent).
  • All academic records (diploma and transcript) must be verified by the relevant authorities in the applicant’s home country and attested by the Embassy or Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
  • Academic transcripts must be issued in the applicant’s native language with an English translation provided by the university or an official translation center.
  • Minimum high school GPA of 65% (or equivalent).
2. Master’s Degree Admission Requirements
  • Valid bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Verified and attested academic records (diploma and transcript).
  • Academic transcript in native language with English translation.
  • Minimum undergraduate GPA of 65% in a closely related discipline.
3. Ph.D. (Research-Based) Admission Requirements
  • Valid bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a relevant field.
  • Verified and attested diplomas and transcripts.
  • Academic transcript in native language with English translation.
  • Minimum Master’s GPA of 65% (or equivalent).
4. Ph.D. (Educational–Research) Admission Requirements
  • Valid bachelor’s and master’s degrees in a relevant field.
  • Verified and attested diplomas and transcripts.
  • Academic transcript in native language with English translation.
  • Minimum Master’s GPA of 65% (or equivalent).
B. Age Requirements
  • Maximum age: 30 years for Bachelor’s applicants.
  • Maximum age: 40 years for Master’s applicants.
  • Maximum age: 50 years for Doctoral applicants.

Admission Timeline

The schedule for processing applications and announcing results is as follows:

Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of 1,000,000 IRR must be paid online. This fee covers the processing and verification of academic and identity documents.

Persian Language Training Course

Applicants without sufficient Persian proficiency must attend an approved Persian language course and pass the final examination or the SAMFA exam.

  • Six-month course: 450 Euros
  • Three-month course: 225 Euros (for specific majors)

Admission Process

After final acceptance and issuance of the admission letter, the Consular Affairs Office will issue the study visa upon approval of the educational qualification code.
